By default, you cannot move the Inbox or drafts in OWA or Outlook 2000. In OWA 5.5 drafts is not visible. I am not to sure about drafts in OWA2k. Personally, I would recreate the exchange profile. RE: Default folders in Exchange
Thanks for all the responses. 1. I did not use the move user function intially as this had not fixed my problem on previous occassions. On this occasion it did. 2. /ResetFolderNames Resets the language of the default folders to the language of the Outlook client.( This does not look as if this would fix my problem ( Also don't have XP). I did try resetfolders. 3. I did not know that you can move the folders with Exchange Client. I have only been able to rename folders? 4. With OWA I was not able to do this I got access denied when trying to move a system folder. Thanks again. RE: Default folders in Exchange
Okay. I'll go and get more coffee ASAP. I didn't read your original question close enough and thought the folder names are screwed. This can be reset with /resetfoldernames in Outlook 2002. The good old Exchange Client isn't of any help if it is one of the standard folders of a mailbox (not talking about Outlook default folders), which are: Inbox, Outbox, Send Items, Deleted Items Even OWA 2000 (running SP2 here) doesn't allow to move those four while you are able to move any Outlook default folders (and I believe this is a bug in OWA 2000 SP2). I am not aware of any method to move the standard folders of a mailbox, sorry. Looks like the only way is really to either move the mailbox or delete and re-create it. But then, I'm a blonde development geek and somebody else on this list might have a better answer or even know the solution. You can do just about anything to the folders with the Exchange client because it didn't consider them special.
