If it's BrightStor Arcserve 9, use the native Arcserve SMTP service.
(Remember to patch it otherwise the alert.exe process gobbles more CPU
cycles and memory than store.exe!)

When I try to create a mapi profile on my exchange 2003 server it pops up
the outlook express profiler instead of the mapi profiler. Is there a way
to change this. I need a profile for Arcserves alert service.

You need access to the ports used by the client of those IP addresses where
your email servers reside. You should know the ports and ask your firewall

All the RPC ports. Thousands of them. Unless you restrict your Exchange server to only
use specific RPC ports. There is some reading material about this on Microsoft Support

Does this happen to all users? Did it ever work? Has something changed

Re: Exchange Client ?

2002-02-15 Thread tom

Rather than having everyone log into the same mailbox, it seems as though it
would be easier to set up a distribution list, have mail come into one
address and then have the server redirect to the distribution list. That's
what I've done when I needed more than one person to get messages coming to
the company and it works fine.
