No, you can't really do it [1]. Because, the incoming SMTP messages are not coming from your IMS, they are coming from individuals. Also, both you and Daniel are right. In E2K, you need to give create rights to Anonymous as opposed to Default. However, in E5.5, default=create is what you need.
S. [1] You can always write a custom event and somehow go through the SMTP headers to see if your IMS server is in the headers and reject the message if it's not. [2] [2] But why? What on earth are you trying to accomplish? -----Original Message----- From: Walden H. (EX5.5) But I'm wondering if I can give the specific IMS user (if one exists) the right. ------------ Walden H Leverich III President Tech Software (516)627-3800 x11 [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.TechSoftInc.com -----Original Message----- From: Daniel Chenault [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, December 21, 2001 16:30 To: Exchange Discussions Subject: Re: Permissions necessary for public folder to receive SMTP mail No. You have to give anonymous the permission. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Walden H.
