Searching the Database

2003-11-11 Thread Morgan, Joshua (Greenville)
Does anyone know of an app that can search any email in the database and
report on content of the message?

Basically if I want to find all messages from all users that have the word
Microsoft in a message the tool will either show me the message or show
me who has the message.

I might be slightly biased on this one ... but KVS offers the Discovery
Accelerator (http://www.kvsplc.com/EnterpriseVaultDiscoveryAccelerator.asp)
which will do excactly what you are looking for.

Is there any way, to search the information store for a particular
E-mail?

Lets say that I wanted to search the entire server, looking for any
E-mail that contained the word Threat in it. Is this possible?

Exchange 5.5 SP4, NT 4.0 SP6a.

It's a long shot, but I had to try. Thanks!

You can search under subject and or attachment but not individual word in
the body. No tool known of from MS unless you go a 3rd party or upgrade to
Exchange 2000 and rollout full index searching.
