Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2010 Password Issue

2011-08-18 Thread Lynden A. Philadelphia
I have Outlook 2010 and Exchange 2010 - the issue is when I connect to the
wired network everything is ok.

When I connect to the wireless network I keep getting prompted for a password.

Does anyone have any ideas why this is?
Thanks in advance.
LP

RE: Exchange 2003 Restore Question

Subject: Exchange 2003 Restore Question

Exchange 2003 server all patched up, with 3 mail stores on it. I deleted store
number 2 (as I thought everything was moved out of it.). Store removed and the
.edb and .stm files also removed.

User calls with a 'hey I need one more thing'..ok, so I fire up a Recovery
Storage Group. I re-create the store using the same name and database file
names and paths. I go to do a restore (using TSM Exchange TDP client 6.1) and
it runs the through the whole thing then at the end I get the following errors.

'Information Store (456) Callback function call ErrESECBRestoreComplete ended
with error 0xC7FE1F42 Database not found'
Followed by a

'tdpexc (5452) Unexpected file system error 2 encountered while opening the
restore environment file'

Did I miss something here? Looks like an Exchange error and not a TSM error.

Thanks all

RE: exchange 2010 internal and external URL question

2011-08-18 Thread Jason Benway
We already run a split DNS so that isn't an issue for us.

Thanks for the quick feedback!

The only downside is you would have to host all your External DNS
internally, but only for your internal users. Not a big deal, but that
is the only downside. We do it that way. So set up a zone for
external.com on your dns server put in all the A records and away you
go.

I didn't put the internal URL on the cert for the CAS server. So outlook
clients are getting a popup when they are in the office.

One way around this would be to make the internal and the external URLs
the same. Any down side to doing this or should I just pay the extra
cost to add the internal URL as another SAN to the cert?

Thanks,jb

RE: View private items. RESOLVED

2011-08-18 Thread Kennedy, Jim
Export-Mailbox -Identity UserB -IncludeFolders ‘\Contacts’ -TargetFolder Backup

Subject: View private items.

So I need to copy one users contacts to another. I have full control over all
mailboxes. Open up both contact folders with my Outlook and copy one to the
other should be easy enough. I am getting caught with an error saying the
original folder might contain private items so it won’t copy.

Now I can call the user, have them make me a delegate and check the little box
to view private items. But there must be a way to do this on my own without the
user being involved.

Exchange 2007 w/ Outlook 2010.
