RE: Windows 7 tablet push email

2012-10-31 Thread Ellis, John P.
I can't configure Outlook to connect to the push mail server and Outlook
2013 is a while off yet!

Actually, I would say that that is pretty much exactly what RPC/HTTPs
is.

I don't know of any add-in for Outlook 2003 that provides this
functionality.

Outlook 2013 however supports ActiveSync.

Subject: Windows 7 tablet push email

We have people with push email to their phones (Windows/Apple and
Android)

This works fine. Now we have some Windows 7 tablet devices that would
also require push email.

Is there an Outlook 2003 addon or mail client that would provide push
email to the tablet device over 3G?

(without needing to have a full time connected VPN connection etc)

Thanks

John

RE: Exchange 2010 Transport Rules

Yes, that should work. It may require some fiddling with their source addresses
to ensure that they are unique.

Subject: Exchange 2010 Transport Rules

Good morning or afternoon,

Hopefully a quick and easy question. We use delivery restrictions in our
Exchange 2003 environment to limit the ability to send external e-mail to
members of a Security group. I just wanted to verify if leveraging transport
rules in Exchange 2010 is the preferred method going forward. There doesn't
appear to be another method in 2010 for setting delivery restrictions on the
connector.
