read emails in plain text

2008-07-26 Thread Ara Avvali
Hello everyone,
Is there any way to make a folder under inbox in outlook to show emails
as plain text only? Just like the way it is in Junk Mail folder. I found
the way on how to do it for all emails not an individual folder.
Thank you

You need to do the windows 2003 adprep. It's separate and apart from the
Exchange adprep.

Hi everyone,

Currently we have 2 domain controllers running on 2000 and one exchange

I am adding one more controller so we can start the migration process to
2003 controllers. Do I need to do the adprerp command or since exchange
2003 is already running then I don't have to?

Thank you for help

Hello everyone,
I just ran a csvde from our AD to get a report of last logged on time.
Numbers are in 1.2856E+17 and I can't figure out how to convert it to
"human" readable format.
Do you have the formula on top of your mind?

Yeah, I interpret it that way. Especially since Microsoft themselves
makes Exchange available on a VHD for download into a test/lab
environment.

But I've got to run a config that's supported, just in case I ever have
a problem that requires MS's help.

Well, here's a kink in my plans... Microsoft tells me that they don't
support running Exchange 2007 on a virtual server now, and will only
support it for certain roles in the future. They wrote:

"Right now we don't support virtualization of Exchange 2007. After
Hyper-V ships we will have different messaging. I'm sure it will be
around virtualization with Hyper-V. That said only some roles will have
support. I believe we are leaning toward CAS, HUB, and Edge Transport
that will be supported and Mailbox and UM Server Roles will not be
supported for virtualization. Again this isn't official but expected."

My problem is that all of my roles are handled by a single server. I'm
not looking to change that.

Hi everyone,

We have a windows 2000 domain which has trust relation to a windows 2003
domain. A few groups are universal distribution and are used for emails.
We need to assign some permission to a file server and instead of
creating new groups I was wondering if I can just simply change the
group to security. Would that cause any problem in terms of email flow?

Appreciated

Hello everyone,

Is there anyone for a folder to show emails in plain text mode just like
junk mail folder and no touch the others? I can change the whole outlook
to read plain text but that is not what I want to do. Only a single
folder is in my concern.

I have a folder that any email from lists are moved to there and getting
all kind of crazy fonts is driving me nuts L

Yep, that's expected, and by design. I actually like it. If it bothers
you, perhaps make a rule in Outlook (If TO; {Distribution list name} and
FROM: [Ara Avvali], then MOVE to [Folder]).

Not sure I follow, but I think what you want is a Distribution List on
the server and assign a SMTP address to it. Add those users to it. To
send a message to all of the users, someone would just send a email to
the distribution list. Everyone gets a copy.

Is this what you are asking?

Sorry this might be an easy one but is it by default? I looked in Google

A group email is created on exchange and user1, 2, 3, 4 are added to it.
User1 sends an email to group email address. Everyone gets a copy
