REG_SERVER - RAID_SERVER in services
Maybe I'm freaking out, but I don't remember these services running on my exchange server. They started causing problems with authentication today and were giving the following in the event log ... Event ID 151 Source REG_SERVER Registration Server Alert Message: Connection Timeout RAID Server servername (Windows NT 4.0) has been unregistered Anyone see this? The reg_serv.exe process was sucking up a ton of memory too. What is going on? List Charter and FAQ at: http://www.sunbelt-software.com/exchange_list_charter.htm

I'll try to figure out how to create my own certificate. Thanks. Any ideas on how to force the SSL authentication once that is complete? Maybe someone could direct me to some useful documentation on the subject. Thanks! Re: OWA
I just had this issue. Here is the info I got. Try these - Q218445 Q234022 I'm running OWA on Exchange 5.5 and IIS 4.0 on an NT server. I'd like to setup a secure connection, how do I do this? Do I need an cert or are there other options? List Charter and FAQ at: http://www.sunbelt-software.com/exchange_list_charter.htm
Outlook Web Access and SSL
Just now implementing OWA. All my remote users use VPN so they use the outlook 2000 client fine. A director has bought a house in a remote location in is using Directway Satellite Internet Service. The VPN connections don't work on Directway so voila, I'm going to use OWA. I want to use SSL. May be a dumb question, but can I use SSL without having to obtain a certificate from a certificate providing authority. Takes too long. I gotta go out to his house this weekend.
