Groupwise Migration and tasks
I've run into a problem during two GW to Exchange migrations. Both migrations were fairly small organizations. Coexistance was not an issue, so we simply ran the GW migration tool. In both instances, things went fairly smooth using the GW Migration tool, however, the tasks didn't seem to come across correctly. In fact, the tasks didn't come across at all. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, jds List Charter and FAQ at: http://www.sunbelt-software.com/exchange_list_charter.htm
RE: Moving OWA to another server
This is called a front-end back-end configuration. There are several good articles on MS' website that describe how to configure the system this way. As a side note, with E2k, you have to have the Enterprise edition of Exchange to split off the OWA on a different server. I think more people should Bixxx about that. jds -Original Message- From: Robbins, Geoff. We currently access all OWA traffic through one Exchange server. However, we want to move that to another Exchange server so that the old server can be decommissioned. I have had a look in TechNet but without success. Can anyone advise how to do this? We are a Ex5.5 SP4 house running IIS4. Removing Unknown SMTP/ESMTP Message Headers/Keywords
We use a watchguard firewall which, by default, removes all unkown SMTP headers and ESMTP keywords. The following is a list of 41 headers and keywordsthat have beenrejected by our firewall during the past week. I am consideringadding some of these to the firewall's list of known headers/keywords. I'm especially interested in the security ramifications of adding these (we use Exchange 2000). Does anyone know of a specific reasonTo/NotTo add these? How to Install OWA and IIS on a Stand-Alone Server
Title: Message In Exchange 5.5, this could be done. Am I missing something, or is this no longer possible in E2k? Is it true that I have to purchase the "Advanced" edition for this feature? If so, that really sucks. List Charter and FAQ at: http://www.sunbelt-software.com/exchange_list_charter.htm
Sort by Conversation in Outlook 2000
I have OL2k installed as my client, and my By conversation view does not seems to sort properly by conversations. (It makes it extremely difficult for me to view lists such as this 8^) Everything works great using the OWA client. Any suggestions. jds List Charter and FAQ at: http://www.sunbelt-software.com/exchange_list_charter.htm
Antivirus Configuration Issues
Ok, I've been burned by Calendar Items Disappear from User's Folders (Q299046), so I want to really think through my Virus Software Configurations. I am using NAVCE 7.6 and NAVMSE throughout my enterprise. 1) My workstations scan all files in real time, and the DAT is pushed out by the Norton Server. Question, should I perform a full system scan on a regular basis at the workstation (daily, weekly, monthly), or should I rely on the on access scan? 2)What special considerations should be made for servers? Obviously, I don't want to be burned again by my virus software deleting items. I am particularly concerned with SQL 2000, Exchange 5.5 and Exchange 2000, and Domain Controllers. Any other configuration suggestions or links would be appreciated. List Charter and FAQ at: http://www.sunbelt-software.com/exchange_list_charter.htm

Disappearing Calendar Items
I have a designated user who is the Gatekeeper to our corporate calendar (Exchange/Outlook 2000) Recently, booked items are simply disappearing from the calendar I can do an advanced find on the public folder and search for text w/in the subject field, and find the missing item, but it wants me to send an update to the gatekeeper If I send the update to the gatekeeper, a new appointment appears in her inbox When she accepts the appointment, it is added to her personal calendar I know it sounds strange, but has anyone else seen anything like this? jds List Charter and FAQ at: http://wwwsunbelt-softwarecom/exchange_list_charterhtm
