Determine Recipients who have their mail copied to a Distribution List

2002-07-23 Thread William Stehley DDPPA

Is there an easy way to determine which users have been configured to have
their inbound mail copied to a distribution list. In the past I added a
distribution list to the alternate recipient field in Exchange Admin and I'd
like to quickly determine the users I have configured this way.

Exchange 5.5 sp4

RE: MS Outlook 2000 w/Cisco VPN Client

2002-07-17 Thread William Stehley DDPPA

Is the remote user using DSL? If so I think you'll need to decrease the MTU
on the PPPoE connection (I used 1400 instead of 1492). There is some packet
fragmentation that occurs during Outlook sync (and other processes) that
causes it to fail. I'm not an expert in the area but the change worked for
us. The Cisco vpn install should install a utility, setmtu.exe, that aids
in making the change. You may get a better explanation here

Has anyone experienced the synchronization problem w/Outlook 2000 and
Cisco's VPN client V 3.5.2 C? It is hanging up attempting to synchronize
with our Exchange 5.5 Servers. Cisco delivered a fix; add OutlookNotify=1
to VPNClient.ini file in the program installation directory, but I tried it
and still did not solve the problem. Besides upgrading to Outlook 2002, has
anyone been able resolve this problem? All responses are greatly
appreciated.

Receive Only Mailbox Exchange 5.5 SP4

2002-07-05 Thread William Stehley DDPPA

Is it possible to configure a mailbox as receive only in exchange 5.5 w/ sp4
applied? There is a knowledgebase article on the MS site that says to set
the message size limit to 0 for pre-sp3 exchange 5.5, but 0=unlimited
message size w/ SP4. I have a manager that would like to have mailboxes
configured to receive messages from specific senders and prevent the ability
to send messages (internally, not just smtp).

Thanks,
 Bill
