Barracuda question

2009-01-19 Thread Evan Brastow
Good morning peoples and peopettes,

I'm seeing something with my Barracuda that doesn't seem to make sense
to me.

Wouldn't it seem like if you have attachment blocking set up (in this
case, blocking all zip files,) that that should take priority over a
whitelist? In other words, I'm seeing zip file get through from
whitelisted addresses, but I would think that it would and should still
block the attachment even if the sender is whitelisted, no?

Thanks for your thoughts,

Evan

Have you updated your firmware.

There was some noise about this a while ago an I beleive it was fixed in an
earlier firmware version.

I know it doesnt happen with ours.

Hi Evan,
I have just checked and its 2.5.12.007 that we ware running.

Not seen the problem your experiencing with this version, in fact I think
the last time we seen it was around 3.4 something but YMMV

Hmm… that could be an issue. My version is 3.4.10.102 and the latest is
3.5.12.007. I'll update that and see what happens.

 Thanks Graeme…

 Evan
