When did it break? What changed?

If you have a emergency, you should open a case with Microsoft. It could be
money well spent.

RE: Exchange 2007 OWA log off

2008-07-10 Thread Matthew Bullock
One of the guys at my office came up with this:

When you log out of web mail, there is a piece of JavaScript that gets
called and kills everything associated with your browser session. Here
is the JavaScript:

document.execCommand(ClearAuthenticationCache,false);

This is done for security reasons so that no one else can log into
your email account.

Using a few tricks, I managed to change the JavaScript on the page an
verified that if we remove this line of code from Microsoft's page, the
session remains intact and the MLS continues to function correctly.

Given that this is a Microsoft script, there is really nothing we can
do about this behavior. The best work around is to open webmail and the
MLS in separate browser instances.

Is there any chance someone could find out if this is a function build
into OWA/Exchange 2007, and if there is a way to change the behavior?

Thanks,

Matt

I'm wondering if anyone has noticed this issue with OWA on Exchange
2007.

When I'm logged into OWA, and am also logged into another web app in
another IE7 tab, then log off OWA, the session in my other IE7 tab also
gets logged out. Setup is two CAS servers with a hardware load balancer
in front.

Not quite sure what you are asking for:

http://www.adopenstatic.com/cs/blogs/ken/archive/2005/04/12/14.aspx

and

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms536979(VS.85).aspx

describe what is going on. If you want to change the behavior, then change
the logoff.aspx script.

Accessing Exchange 2007 OWA from a Mac

2008-01-18 Thread Rob Bonfiglio
Hey guys,

Maybe you can help me out with something here. We've recently migrated from
Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007. The migration seems to have gone well.
We're able to connect to the Exchange server via MAPI, IMAP, and to OWA w/o
any problems from Windows machines. However, I am having trouble with Mac
users (we only have a hand full of them) trying to access OWA from off of
our network. If they bring their Mac laptop onto the network they can
access OWA just fine.

So, this sounds like a firewall issue to me. Except that Windows users can
access OWA w/o a problem from off of our network. I've had the firewall
guys open up ports 80 and 443 (among other required ports) to our
webserver. We're not having any problems with our certificate that I can
tell. When a Mac user connects they don't get anything displayed to them.
It just spins.

This happens from Firefox and Safari.

I had one user who said they experienced the problem, and then went home the
next day and was able to connect. She says she didn't change anything, and
I know I hadn't changed anything yet.

Oh yeah...our setupwe are not running an Edge server. We are running a
single CAS/HT server and a single mailbox server. The mailbox server is not
accessible to the internet. The clients connect to the CAS/HT.

If anyone has any insight I would really appreciate it. If you need anymore
info please let me know.

Thanks!

Rob
