Exchange 5.5 SP4
Windows 2000 Server SP2

I have one question in regards to a full restore of exchange server and hope someone will be able to help.

I have Exchange set-up with log files on a separate physical hard drive. If  I have to reinstall exchange on this Server in case of Disaster recovery, I have to run the Microsoft Exchange Performance Optimizer to optimize Exchange for the same configuration that was used before. If I were to do this will it over write the log files? Which I wouldn't obviously want to happen if I wanted a complete restore.

I hope this makes sense!

Thanks
