MDBDATA Folder and Transaction logs

2002-07-23 Thread Garland Mac Neill

Ello Everyone,

I seem to have a minor annoyance here and I was wondering if
anyone could shed a little light on it for me. I understand that the MDBDATA
folder keeps transaction logs and it is necessary for a rebuild. However,
occasionally when I move mailboxes from the 5.5 server to the E2K server, the
MDBDATA folder fills up and causes the mailbox store to dismount. I can go in
delete the test files in the MDBDATA folder and remount the store with out any
problem. Like I said, more than an annoyance than anything
else. Although I have noticed, that this folder never seems to fill up
and it usually only has a few megs of info in it. I
just dont understand why it fills up and crashes the mounted mailbox
store sometimes, and not others. Can anyone explain it to me?

Thanks

Move
mailbox creates transaction logs. The bigger the mailbox to move, the
greater the transaction logs.

Is the
partition holding this instnace of te MDBDATA folder sufficiently
sized?
