OWA password change
I thought I remembered a recent conversation about a method of allowing OWA users to change expired and/or must change password passwords. Specifically with Exchange 07 sp3 on Server 08. I'm not finding anything in the archives (which could be my query) nor via google. So is there a way to enable that for pure OWA users, without ISA? Re: OWA password change
For Windows 2003/Exchange 2003 or 2007 there is a change you need to implement for enabling this functionality - there might be something similar for 2008/E2k7: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/297121/ Kat On Wed, Jan 5, 2011 at 10:50 AM, Kevin Lundy klu...@gmail.com wrote: I thought I remembered a recent conversation about a method of allowing OWA users to change expired and/or must change password passwords. Yeah, that's why I'm asking :) It's not working for expired nor must change users. Yes :). But in my defense I just got pulled into this today and its been a looong time since I touched Exchange. Should we apply that reg hack anyway? OWA password change
We are running Ex5.5 sp4 on W2k sp2 backend and IIS/OWA on W2k sp2 front end. Most of our consultants are never at the office and receive all there mail using OWA. The system is only exposed to the internet on SSL and we have been using the IISADMPWD .htr programs to change passwords every 90 days. With the recent problems with respect to MS02-028 Heap overrun int HTR I am wondering about alternative solutions to enable my users to change there passwords from IIS.
