Public free/busy time and admin rights

2002-01-11 Thread Jason Cordingley

NT Server 4, SP 6a

Exchange 5.5 SP4

I have created a new Exchange 5.5 box, transferred
all our users from the old box to the new box, and everyone can send mail no problems.
The old box was then taken away and removed as a server within the exchange
admin screen from the new server.

I now have 2 problems.

I cannot remotely connect to the exchange server, the
error is

You do not have the permissions required to complete
the operation.

Microsoft Exchange Directory

ID no: DS_E_INSUFFICIENT_ACCESS_RIGHTS

I am a member of Domain Admins
and can remotely use tools like Wins Admin and Server Admin

Also

Sometime when someone gets an email we get the error
message

Cannot update public free/busy time.

Has anyone got any ideas for either problem? The
remote admin is the least of the problems.

Was
the old server the first server in the site? If so, the system folder
housing free/busy info is gone. Check Q152960 about rebuilding the site
folders.
