Outlook running while these are being processed? The client will have to
run to archive. Have you thought about the Clean Mailbox function or
Mailbox manager?

oops -- I meant faxpress (Castelle) not faxserve we dumped that pos a while
ago

upon receipt of the fax and it appears it is a copy of the email being
routed to the "faxrouter" account -- the one the front desk uses to route
the faxes to the actual user.

My understanding is this:

1. faxpress receives the fax and through the exchange connector send it as
an email attachment to the account "admin"

2. the admin acct through faxserve routes the fax to the "faxrouter" account
and here is where I get the copy in the the admin account's sent items.

Don,

here is more info, thanks

we have faxserv and the connector for exchange. the faxes come in through
an admin level acct and are forwarded to the front desk mailbox.

it is from outlook on the machine which has the nag (native attachment
gateway) loaded that i am tyring to do this.

It is the sent items folder in the admin acct that accumulates all the
emails. what i want is for it not to place a copy in sent items, since i
could not get it to stop, i was just going to use auto archive to delete
them after 1 day -- now i need to do it manually, and over the weekend we
can accumulate a lot of them.

Mr. Precht,

Have you tried giving an actual "technical" solution?

Mr. Erickson,

Are you trying to "only" archive the entire sent items folder after two days
or what? With regards to "save copy in sent items folder" being unchecked,
is this within Outlook you have this setting? What fax software are we
talking about here?

More information is needed here...

Hi,

A followed the Auto Archive thread, and have it setup correctly and it still
does not work.

Our electronic fax software is sending copies of routed faxes (email
attachments) into the sent items folder. I have the "save copy in sent
items folder" unchecked, but they still appear, so I set the auto archive to
remove them after 2 days. It does not do it either when set to auto archive
or if I manually tell it to archive.
