RE: Upgrade from E2k Standard Eval to Licensed version
That is correct. The eval version is Enterprise only. The only upgrade path is to the enterprise version. I am not familiar with a way around this. It certainly would not be supported. I have searched google, MS KB and Swinc.com for any caveats to upgrading to the licensed version and don't see anything of importance. Is it really as simple as running setup from the Licensed Exchange media and has anyone had any issues doing so? Re: Upgrade from E2k Standard Eval to Licensed version
Yes! My copy expired and would not allow a licensed installation on top of the eval. Databases go offline and all stops. MS KB says you cannot install licensed copy to enable the existing eval databases. I know that I can't. If you or anyone has found a way around this, I'd love you hear from you. thanx.
