RE: Weird Outlook issue

2001-10-30 Thread Simon Taylor

Hi Andy
If the users have offline ost files then this sounds like a corrupt ost file
- delete it then resync to recreate it and it should fix the issue.
Cheers

Hello-
Exchange 2K, Outlook 2K, user VPNs from cable ISDN connection, no problems
until last week! When she goes to delete certain mail items, message says
item cannot be deleted because it was either moved or deleted already!
TechNet says to let Outlook and Exchange work it out over time and that
someone else may be using the mailbox (that is NOT happening).
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q195/8/63.ASP
It's been 5 days and still the same issue. Also, in the deleted items
folder it says there are 7 unread items in the Outlook bar icon but when you
click on the folder it says 0 items. Has anyone seen this? Is this Mailbox
corruption?? Thanks for any and all help. Andy

I would try recreating the profile and see if the views change.

Yes, it could be a problem in the mailbox. Anything in the app event log
(probably not)?

This is occuring on my PC only from what I can tell. When I try to send an
email that has a hyperlink, it will not leave my outbox. For example, I type

www.google.com and hit enter and try to send, the email goes to my outbox
and stays in italics for a fraction of a second then reverts to reguler text

and it won't send. If someone sends me an email with the same url, I can
reply to that person with the url included in the email and it works fine. I

dont see any errors in the event logs on either exchange or my PC. Anyone
have any ideas?

Is it a recent version of Outlook? We had that problem with a PC a couple week
ago. Turned out the PC had O2k. Updating to O2k3 resolved the issue.

Perhaps an issue with a new email template?
