RE: referencing outside email addresses

2001-12-05 Thread Clayton

All of the cell phones he mentioned have email addresses, presumable
SMTP addresses, so if you create a custom recipient in exchange 5.5, or
a contact in Active Directory for E2K, and give the person the SMTP
address of the pager in question, DNS will do it for you.

How do you get it to leave your domain for the cell
companies domain. It's just like I want to forward to
an external smtp server.

Title: RE: referencing outside email addresses

I made a new recipients container under the main one and stuck all my custom recipients in there for that exact case.  All of our tech support guys/gals have cell phones with email addresses, so we give them a Custom Recipient called "First LastName - Cell Phone".  The two people that answer tech support calls then send short messages to their phone through email.

Can I put a recipent container in my recipents folder
in exchange and then reference outside email
addresses. For instance our company uses alpha pagers
for our supervisors and we want to put a list in
outlooks to box so the can pull the email that verizon
assigns each phone or pager to get a message to them.
Thanks for the help.
