Ok, bring up this old thread, now since E2K7 SP3 is out I assume the Management Console is compatible with Windows 7 64 bit. I tried to install but did not have all pre-requisites, added IIs but now when I trie to install it's is grayed out and telling me the Tools are already installed. Again have been doing a lot of Googeling but not getting anywhere. You guys are most likely running the RTM/SP1 ver of the tools. In a SP2 there is a blocker so you cannot install the tools on Win7. While there are always ways to hack the tools in it will be unsupported until ex2k7 sp3. Read what Tom said. He's completely accurate: Ex2k7 management tools will not be supported on win 7 till sp3 You can do an in-place upgrade to Win7 and get the tools - but they aren't supported.
