I have Securecast installed on my workstation so McAfee can push the dat files to me, but they have never pushed the extra.dat file to me. So, how did you get it? I'm able to find the file on McAfee's site. What I want to know is does McAfee push it using securecast or is there another method of getting the Extra.dat file without having to go out and search for it. MMS's signature update gets it from Tumbleweed's site (hourly pull, not push) - they make it available quite soon after McAfee does. Just block the .COM attachment (as part of your overall executable attachment blocking policy). Even Groupshield allows you to do that.
