I uncommented ServerName localhost, and httpd -t now gives me Synatx
OK. WIll I have any problems in the future since I uncommented this line?

Thanks

What error does it give? You can try /usr/sbin/httpd -t and it will
 test your configuration files.

Usually when I have a problem on a new, untouched system, the problem
it is because Apache cannot figure out who it is by querying the
nameserver. Are you using a real domain name? If not, uncomment the
 line:
 #ServerName localhost
 and see if it starts.

[expert] mandrake 8 rpm

2001-04-30 Thread Anthony C. Cheng

Hi,

I just installed mandrake 8 and am trying to install rpms. However,
whenever I run rpm -i file.rpm, it just seems to hang. I've also tried
Gnome RPM and it also hangs. Has anyone else been having this
problem? Any suggestions on how I could get rpms installed?

[expert] netscape fonts

2001-03-08 Thread Anthony C. Cheng

Each time I adjust the fonts in netscape to a readable size, it always
resets, is anyone else having this problem and does anyone have any ideas
on how to fix this? Netscape also seems to stall a lot more than
when I use other browsers, is there a fix to this as well?

certain things? I would like to know where the main mySQL
