I have a mandrake webserver here and a week ago I changed the memory out in
it. up till this point it had been running 3 months without a reboot. It ran
one week and then all of a sudden stopped responding to anything but ping.
all services shutdown. being it is a remote machine I got it turned off and
back on and it started back up fine but this was in the log files:
Dec 17 00:02:05 nix kernel: ll_rw_block: Trying to read nonexistent
block-device 00:01 (983049)
Dec 17 00:02:05 nix kernel: EXT2-fs error (device ide0(3,1)):
ext2_write_inode: unable to read inode block - inode=484028, block=983049
Dec 17 11:58:34 nix syslogd 1.3-3: restart.
Any ideas as to what has happened here? Please email all responses to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] to please as I am on the digest. thanks :)
