Re: [expert] FAQ or what?
Tut, tut. More regimentation. Don't we get enough regimentation from our governments? Reading the archives will certainly help, assuming that the answer is in the archives and that you don't accidentally overlook the answer, and be sure that you don't overlook the answer because you don't want you hands slapped because it has already been asked. Before I get glued to my soapbox I will add that here in Texas it doesn't bother us to help someone even if the question has been asked before. I have 15 or 20 pounds of Linux books, and the answers are frequently not there. Re: [expert] FAQ or what?
Sorry. If I had known the answer, I would not have asked the question. Not every answer is seen by everyone which may cause some repeat questions. Thanks. [expert] Lynx

Re: [expert] Printer lpq -- any solution yet?
No entries means nothing to be printed. lpr blah.txt return then do lpq, and it should show a order number and name. [expert] No mouse :-(
Is there a way in Mandrake6.0 to move around in kde without a mouse? "Linux for Dummies" says it can be done with keystrokes, but it doesn't work for me. My old mouse doesn't work and neither does the new one. Til then I'm stuck in the console. Email and Lynx work fortunately. Gordon
[expert] Re: Lynx
In Mandrake6.0, I can ping and send and receive email, but when I try to use Lynx, it says it can't open a temporary file. Help. Thanks.' Gordon

On 1999-10-12 [EMAIL PROTECTED] said: >Is there a phone dialer program for linux comparable to MS's phone >dialer? (If there is I am SURE it is BETTER than MS;s, not >comparable!) John Connell I use two wvdial eznet They both work well but I think wvdial is the best, and they are both easy to set up. You can probably get both at linux.com. I'd give you more infor, but the disktop is ILL because I epgraded Mandrake6.0 to Mandrake6.1, and it has been down hill ever since. 6.0 was easy. Gordon Net-Tamer V 1.11.2 - Test Drive
[expert] Re: 6.1 installation
Hell, I just upgraded Mandrake6.1 over Mandrake6.0. For a day and a half I havre gtried to configure X with no luck. Mandrake6.0 worked like a champ. Also, my dialer works, but I cannot ping. TIA. Gordon Net-Tamer V 1.11.2 - Test Drive
[expert] Re: Mandrake6.1

[expert] Installing Mandrake6.1
When I get the cdrom for Mandrake6.1, will I need to get a boot disk? I have Mandrake6.0 installed. Although my bios says it will load from the cdrom, it never has. Will Mandrake accept a13 gig harddrive? Thanks. Gordon
