Hi James,

Could you please give me an indication how I would do that. There's no
option available (as far as I can see) to turn off 'typematic setting'.

Regards,

Pieter

[expert] Keyboard repeats characters

2002-10-02 Thread Pieter Laroy

Hi to everyone,

I recently received a Toshiba Tecra at the office, and of course I need
Linux to be up and running on it. However, there is one very annoying
problem:

The keyboard appears to repeat characters when typing too fast. As you
can imagine, this makes working with it almost impossible. I've been
looking in the archives and searched in google, without a satisfying
answer (one answer was a mail to Linus with some code, but that's one
step too far for me). The keyboard works fine under M$ Windows (yes, I'm
required to use it for professional purposes).

Other information you might find interesting:

Machine: Toshiba Tecra 9100
OS: Mandrake Linux 9.0
kbdrate: 10.9cps, delay=250ms

I tried playing around with these numbers (up and down), but without any
success.
It works in no of the keyboard layouts.

Thank you very much in advance...

Pieter

What i did was remove 1 nic after i confugured it. Add the other, i had 1
509 and a 905 and i think both nics werent recognized or failed.

After the before mentioned procedure they both function well under 7.0 V2.
