[expert] ext3 fsck problem with latest kernel
I have 2 hard drives. hda2 is /boot and hdb2 is / both of these run ext3 which were built from former ext2 partitions. When I first did the conversion I had to mkinitrd before I could get / to use ext3. It had worked fine until the latest upgrade to kernel 2.4.8-34.1mdk. Now it kicks out trying to do an fsck because hdb2 is already mounted. Earlier in the boot process it loaded the ext3 module and checked the journal for hdb2, then shortly after loading devfs, it again tries to fsck hdb2 and halts the process with the error message stating that hdb2 is already mounted. I have tried a new mkinitrd with the latest kernel but I still get this message. Any ideas or is this a known bug? I have researched the lists and could not find this mentioned yet. = SI Reasoning [EMAIL PROTECTED] They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. Re: [expert] https sites not working fine...
try taking the source of mozilla 9.6 and galeon 0.12-8 from cooker and re-compile. I did this for galeon and it is running much more stable. --- Joan Tur [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hallo! Re: [expert] Permanently adding special entries to Menus
use menudrake --- Tobias Marx [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Al Andersen wrote: You neglected to state which desktop you're using. If it's KDE: # cd ~/.kde/share # mkdir applnk it's actually applnk-mdk. the only problem with this is, that it doesn't work (at least for me). as i've posted here twice before, all manual changes to the menus (by adding a .desktop file or using menudrake) and all changes to file type associations are gone after adding a rpm (sometimes rebooting is enough, too). nobody could tell me how to solve this, yet. :( -- Free Dmitry Sklyarov, NOW! Re: [expert] RPM rebuild question
If you are rebuilding on the athlon box, then you don't need to use --target= as it will automatically determine that. --- Fedneg [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi, I'm trying to rebuild some source RPMs for my athlon box but I have some problems with option --target=. I've also found that when I type: rpm -rebuild --target=i686 filename.rpm the result is: --target=i686: unknown option Can someone help? Thanks in advance.
