HELLO I AM A LINUX NEWBIE, AND CAME SOMEONE PLEASE PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO 
INSTALL A PROGRAM... I AM TRYING TO INSTALL CDDA2WAV IN ORDER TO MAKE MY OWN 
MIXED CD'S.. I RESENTLY ABANDONED WINDOWS, AND AM A BIT LOST.. WHAT MAKE?? 
OR INSTALL? DO I NEED TO PASS ANY PARAMETERS TO THEM?? HELP PLEASE THANKS

[expert] cdrom cdrw linked to one drive help....

i need help.. my cdrom and cdrw both are linked to the same drive. i issued 
ls -al /dev/cdrom and ls -al /dev/cdrecorder to see this. the i issued 
ln -sf /dev/cdrom /dev/sr1 which was wrong.. ln -sf /dev/sr1 /dev/cdrom 
is the correct one it seems. once i issued the second ln the ls on the two 
drive pointed to different drives(i.e /dev/sr0 and /dev/sr1).. now how do i 
remove the first ln command? when i try and mount the cdrom i get an error 
too many symbolic something... thanks ben

i was considering buying a digital camera, and was wondering which one has 
the leaset problems working with linux? is usb or serial the way to go for 
linux usage???
