Re: [expert] /dev/cdrom doesn't point to device
What you need to do is comment out these lines in /etc/devfsd.conf file for cdrom. Once done, use kill -1 , then remove the cdrom link and you should be able to create the new link. #LOOKUP^cdrom$ CFUNCTION GLOBAL symlink cdroms/cdrom0 $devpath #REGISTER ^cdroms/cdrom0$ CFUNCTION GLOBAL symlink cdroms/cdrom0 cdrom #UNREGISTER ^cdroms/cdrom0$ CFUNCTION GLOBAL unlink cdrom Bunty On Thursday 18 October 2001 12:37 pm, you wrote: > Hi, > > After a fresh install of 8.1, I'm having trouble playing audio cds. Re: [expert] Upgrading to KDE 2.2
You can get those libs from rpmfind.net. The order is kdesupport, kdelibs, kdebase, and other packages can be installed in any arbitrary order. RE: [expert] NVIDIA question
Instead of using nvidia's card, try 3dfx voodoo 5500 card, it works great on my linux box running mandrake 7.1. -bunty -Original Message- From: Francois Pons [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, November 09, 2000 9:26 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: jerrys Subject: Re: [expert] NVIDIA question jerrys <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> writes: > *This message was transferred with a trial version of CommuniGate(tm) Pro* > I installed Mandrake 7.2 using the expert option on my system and I have > a question on how instillation is done. > The first time I installed 7.2 was with Xfree 4.0.1 and I have a Viper > 550 TNT AGP card installed on my system.
