During the install I formatted the partion I plan to install Windows and I would like to change this in the auto install disk. You _should_ be able to edit auto_inst.cfg.pl on the floppy. [expert] Auto install boot disk
Hi, I just did a test install of Mandraka 7.1 on a Acer laptop and created the auto install boot disk during that. Almost imediately after that I tried how it works. 1) Is it possible to modify the install options after the disk is created? I plan on having Windows 98 on this same laptop and would prefer if the auto install would stick to the designated Linux partition and leave FAT partitions alone. During the install I formatted the partion I plan to install Windows and I would like to change this in the auto install disk. 2) During the setup I selected packages that are in the Extension CD. During the auto install the setup didn't ask for this CD at all. The "Install system" phase ended with the message: rpmRunTransactions finished, errors occured 0 Before that there were just messages of users and groups being added. 3) After this it entered the next steps. In the "Create a bootdisk" phase it just gave the message: error :( switch to console f2 for a shell Press Enter to reboot I had the auto install disk still in the drive, which was luckily write protected. I didn't see a message that I should put an empty disk in the drive. After this the bootloader (GRUB) didn't work. It just stops on stage1. Petri
