Windows client to Linux Server:
VNC - Free
Remote X add on - expensive but available

Linux/UNIX client to Linux/UNIX Server
VNC - Free
Remote X - Free and Built in to default install.
Remote X with SSH - Free and usually built in to default install

Unfortunately, neither VNC or remote X are as good as Citrix or Terminal
Server which are really amazing pieces of work. If you have the
bandwidth to spare however, they compare quite nicely and are *much*
cheaper.

I would also be remiss if I didn't mention the Linux Terminal Server
Project. You can find information at http://www.ltsp.org

RE:[expert] Citrix client on LM8.0f1

2001-07-14 Thread Andre LABBE

Hi

I have it running on LM8 with no problem. The version is ICA 6.0-1.
The box is an AMD k6II 400 with 128Mb.
The only thing to do was to add the shortcut in the menu. If you want
more help, it will be in a week time. I am off next week and the LM8 is
at work.

Andre

Has anyone successfully
installed the Citrix Linux
client on LM8.0-freq1? How
about LM80? I have it running
fine on my LM7.2 machine,
however with 8.0f1 I am
receiving segfaults with the
old installer for Citirx as
well as with the newest
rpm version. I can provide
error messages if anyone is
interested.
