Mandrakites,
Do NOT switch to qt2-2.3.0 in hopes of having antialiased fonts. It will
completely dick up your kde usability.

The fonts DO look nice but there are side-affects that render kde 2.1
unusable. All my window menus are compressed or distorted to the point that
no menu is usable. Drakfont is unusable as the font selection window is
compressed to the point that no font names appear in it and one cannot select
fonts to try to correct the problems qt2-2.3.0 caused (it automagically sets
ALL your default fonts to some proportional adobe fonts which in SOME cases
looks really nice but the drakfont problem wont allow you to fix the problems
this causes with konsole, menu compression and distortion.

There is a temp fix being discussed in the cooker forum but it appears that
YMMV as to whether it fixes things or not. I am in the process of trying to
find out whether my menu compression problem is known to those who are
experiencing font problems with qt 2.3.0. I tried rebuilding kde 2.1 source
against qt 2.3.0 in hopes that this would fix it but it hasn't (I found I
could build ALL the kde 2.1 src rpms except for kdelib-2.1-3mdk.src.rpm, by
the way - I had to go with cooker binary rpms to get all of kdelibs
installed).
