Dear folks,
I am trying to run viavoice under mandrake 8.0. I have downloaded the
packages from the IBM web page and installed without problems. I have created
an user (Francisco) and put it them as default user. I have also installed
java from sun, but.....
The problems start when I try to run any of the main programes; for example
these are the results for vvstartenrollment:
# vvstartuserguru Francisco
Starting ViaVoice User Guru
Java must be installed for ViaVoice User Guru to work.
Please wait while Java initializes...
Exception occurred in main() of java.applet.Applet
java.lang.NullPointerException
at com.ibm.speechapps.userwizard.UWiz.main(UWiz.java:123)
Any idea?
