What I'm doing now is to do a fresh install. BUT, my 7.1 setup has a /home
partition and a /usr/local (where I keep UT and quake3 ;) partition. I keep
these between upgrades.

This is the time to ask:

When installing the new mandrake 7.2, do you install it "on top" of the 7.1 or
do you have to do something first.

[expert] Linux Mandrake 7.2 starting to appear

2000-10-27 Thread Buchan Milne

Hi All,

It looks like 7.2 is starting to appear on mirrors. The interesting bit
is that the tutorials that are on linux-mandrake.com appear to be
included in the distro. Good Idea !! For those interested, you can look
at
http://ftp.sun.ac.za/linux/distributions/linux-mandrake/mandrake/7.2/i586/tutorial/
(our local unofficial mirror)

I wonder if they included the offline achive of muo ? That would also
have been useful.

Oh well, time to wait until the mirror is complete.

Buchan

P.S.
For those of you who will be downloading via modem, it's too bad. When
mandrake appears on the mirror, it will be 15 minutes per iso (10 Mbps)
from here!
