Hi All,

Am I glad to get to this list! <grin> I've recently discovered the Mandrake
distro (Leeloo version), and I'm extremely impressed on how Mandrake
has built onto RedHat 5.2 to make one of the most complete Linux distros
available anywhere. I've been a staunch RH user up to now, say no more! ;-)
Mandrake 5.3 is now installed on all my machines, both at work and at home,
and it helps me a lot in my "Linux Evangelistical Drive". Now that Mandrake is
out I've managed to "convert" 8 of my friends and colleagues to embrace
Linux. One buddy of mine is a 'Doze developer, and he found it absolutely
hysterical to be able to develop for Windows using Linux! <grin> In his words:
"EGCS rulez!"

Enough natter, I've got a small question regarding Mandrake/RH in general.
This was not a problem under Leeloo, but it kinda plagues me with Fessten.
I've got an oldish IBM Thinkpad 701 CS (with the nice folding keyboard)
that works just fine with Fessten, but as soon as runlevel 3 is entered, the
numlock key goes on. Not a problem on a desktop machine, but with all
the multi-function keys on a Notebook computer this is an irritation. I've
disabled "numlock-on" in the BIOS settings, but Linux totally over-rules
that. Where can I disable this? I've read all the HOWTO's on the "kbd"
modules, and came out none the wiser. Any ideas? My "root" login is
at the moment "r66t" if I forget to physically switch numlock off! ;-)

Goodbye!
