I couldn't get anywhere with my attempts at recording until I used kickarts (under 9.1) Anne -- Registered Linux User No.293302 Have you visited http://twiki.mdklinuxfaq.org yet? [expert] Problems grabbing Standard Audio Input (was 9.2 and Gramofile)
So I hunted around, and found that a program had crashed, leaving /dev/dsp occupied, so I killed it off, and tried again. Now Gramofile acts like it should, giving me the recording screen. But still, I have some sort of problem with picking up the standard input with anything: gramofile, Audacity, Rezound. It seems like maybe a reboot is in order, but I would rather not, for the obvious uptime reason. Rob -- Linux: For the people, by the people. Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft?
