can someone give me some nice tips to get 3d-support for my radeon 9700 on 9.1, please?

You will need to dl, install and configure the Ati linux driver.

It is avaiable from
http://www.schneider-digital.de/html/body_download_ati.html

The driver file you will need is
glx1_linux_X4.3.zip

For anyone else using the driver this is version 3.2.0
and was released just this month.
