OK, I have removed the attached file and am sending the reply back to the 
list as well so that others may find this helpful in the future.


I think I found your problem.  QTDIR is not set. KDE will not compile without 
this path.

You need to set QTDIR=/usr/lib/qt2

I would probably add the following to my .bashrc (at the very end)

export QTDIR=/usr/lib/qt2

log out of all your logged in sessions and try again.
