msec.sh:[ -n $TMOUT ] typeset -r TMOUT
What you could do is comment out that line, which will make it not be
readonly any more, but honestly it is not the correct answer IMHO.

Hello! I couldn't decide if this is a newbie or expert question, so expert it is... starting a shell, I get bash: TMOUT: readonly variable Now, I found a promising link at google, pointing to mandrake mail archive but: An error occured while loading http://www.mandrake.com/en/archives/cooker/2002-06/msg01630.php: Could not connect to host archives.mandrakelinux.com Does anybody know who is trying to change TMOUT.
