Hi there,

Just out of curiosity, has anyone tried the --display flag in
gnome-terminal on Mandrake 7.0 ... Im trying to specify this on the
command line... It worked fine in Mandrake 6.1 and since installing
Mandrake 7.0 it doesnt work... It seems to use the shell environment
variable regardless of what I set on the command line:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]: gnome-terminal --display biergarten:1 &
[1] 1644
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:

Seems to work fine...right? It pops it up onto :0 ... Im using VNC for
:1 so it should work... Ive tried piping the display to other machines
(NT boxes using Reflection) and no luck. If I

unsetenv DISPLAY

and then try it I get the following [EMAIL PROTECTED]:
gnome-terminal --display biergarten:1 &
[2] 1677
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:
Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:

[2] Exit 1 gnome-terminal --display
biergarten:1
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:

I even try this to :0 and the same message... Bottom line is I think
this flag is ignored....

Any insight anyone?

Thanks

Werner
