[expert] need to reinstall?
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 There are still some apps and configs that won't work in 8.1. I tried to change the SCSI adapter in Harddrake to the correct model number but the change did not occur. And I can't get internet connection sharing working even though it shows enabled and the clients are getting addresses from the DHCP server. And I can ping the LAN address of the server from the client but I can't ping the gateway or the IP address of the wireless card (for my wireless Internet - not intranet) or any web addresses. The config looks the same as it did for 7.2 Anyway, I've had to go in and manually change a lot of stuff to make it work. I'd really hate to have to wipe everything out and start over with a fresh install. That's one of the reasons why I wanted to get away from Windows. Any comments? -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE73FXHjCg8oFTHzFARAmP9AJsGQ3+DSZKmHGoJcSWm4RvI7SLIhACgxjJL Z7VxfkBI8bpTQ36HzIG8MCs= =2saa -END PGP SIGNATURE- Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? As root, remove the file '/etc/sysconfig/iptables' and reboot. This has been fixed, and hopefully an update will be released soon. -- Paul Cox Kernel: 2.4.8-31.1mdk - Uptime: 1 day 15 hours 49 minutes. Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft?
