Hi there!

Great Idea! ;-)

Just one question is it possible to share *everything* ( I mean the
pine directory and sub-directory system *along* with sylpheed *without*
messing everything up?)

Pine is my main mailer but, I would like to have a alternative to it!
Until now, every and each combination I tried just messed up the mail
boxes!!! ( I really want to use both, depending where I am!)

For example, when using an alternative mailer and returning to Pine...
everything is changed, i.e., directory names, files names and etc!

I now have a great speedup... here's how:
1. installed sylpheed and galeon
2. dumped Nuts-crash
Tried switching to pine exclusively (since I regulary do mail remotely
(via pine)); but sylpheed is *way* faster than pine...

I hope so... :^) [testing...]

YUP! I used to use NS, now sylpheed(0.7.0 -- from
http://www.sylpheed.org), as my main mailer and pine on the road while
ssh'ed back to my desktop system. Whilst on the road, sylpheed is not
running... leaves my mail in /var/spool/mail

Pine is my main mailer but, I would like to have a alternative to it!
Until now, every and each combination I tried just messed up the mail
boxes!!! ( I really want to use both, depending where I am!)

I setup pine to not delete mail from the server, auto-bcc myself on
compose to keep a copy and just read/reply/compose normally. When I get
back to the desktop, sylpheed sucks all the messages out of
/var/spool/mail and although pine set Status: RO, sylpheed doesn't
care... looks like new messages... just delete the messages from pine's
inbox next time and I'm done.

Works for me :^) though you should test the reverse since pine is your
primary... Pierre

For example, when using an alternative mailer and returning to Pine...
everything is changed, i.e., directory names, files names and etc!
