Re: Location of Icons
You have an old hicolor/index.theme installed somewhere in your path. The missing icons you're reporting are the ones in Context that are only defined in newer 0.10 hicolor-icon-theme. what's the result of this ? find / -name index.theme | grep hicolor regards s On Wed, 2007-08-29 at 21:44 +0200, Christoph Moench-Tegeder wrote: Hello, I installed f-spot 0.4.0 (SVN FSPOT_0_4_STABLE) on FreeBSD 6.2 and noticed some missing icons from the main window, namely Browse, Edit and those image-retouching-tools on the bottom of the windows when editing images (Mark Petersen noticed the same/a similar problem on Debian Linux). After some digging I found the aforementioned icons under /usr/local/share/gnome/f-spot/icons/hicolor (this is $(pkgdatadir)/icons/$(theme) as per icons/Makefile) where Gnome/GTK/ whatever will not find them. As a quick workaround I installed the icons into $(prefix)/share/icons/hicolor (that's $(hicolordir) in the Makefile) and everything was fine. Is this a bug in f-spot or should I adjust my theme search path in Gnome? (this has been left untouched since I installed Gnome several releases ago, so it might be out of date). My Gnome installation has version 2.18.3, and the hicolor-icon-theme looks like version 0.10. Re: Location of Icons
Hi, you don't have any hicolor theme in /usr/share/ ? which distribution are you using ? I'm using FreeBSD. Everything not belonging to the base system is installed via ports. All packages are installed in /usr/local (except the base distribution). what version of gnome-icon-theme are you using ? The packaging system reports gnome-icon-theme-2.18.0.
