[Factor-talk] deployed Factor apps crash on launch on OSX 10.9.3

2014-06-18 Thread mikel evins
Deploying Factor apps isn't working for me on OSX 10.9.3. I've tried deploying
a variety of the examples with a variety of deploy parameters, with 0.96
stable, and with a couple of recent development builds. The result is always
the same: crash on launch.

Factor says:

The die word was called by the library. Unless you called it yourself,
you have triggered a bug in Factor. Please report.

Because I'm not seeing this on Windows, and because I haven't noticed any
chatter about it, I suspect it's a configuration problem with my OS X
installation, but that's pure guess work on my part. Anyone know anything about
it?

2014-06-18 Thread John Benediktsson
Hmm, I can reproduce that, the deploy tests are working on our build
machine (not running 10.9.3, but earlier version) and on linux and windows.
We will look into it and opened a bug to track (
https://github.com/slavapestov/factor/issues/1079).

Best,
John.

I assume you meant to write that you can't reproduce it.

Let me know if there's anything you'd like me to do to collect more data.

No, I mean I see the same error you see on my 10.9.3 laptop, but not our
Mac OS X build machines that are running an earlier version of OS X (not
sure exactly which).

Ah; that's even more interesting. Still, let me know if you need anything.
