Miguel de Molinos was the main inspiration.  

 But Madame Guyon - particularly through her book "A Short and Easy Method of 
Prayer" - helped popularize his approach.
 

 Her high-profile supporter was Archbishop Fenelon.
 

 All three were targetted by the Church hierarchy. The history of Catholicism 
would have been radically different if their ideas had been treated with more

Thx, I never got the Chopra technique.  Did anybody? (here).  Looks like it's a 
dead transmission.
 I chant - usually silently - the Gayatri mantra, the Mahamritunjaya mantra to 
Shiva, and a Graha mantra to the planets; as well as the Vakratunda Mahakaya 
mantra to Ganesh.   With these mantras, even if Chopra were still teaching the 
mantras he received through MMY, I doubt that there would be an additional 
benefit, especially when I can chant the traditional mantras for free.
 I might add that Chopra seems to have quit giving credit to MMY in his books,

Recently received a health newsletter from a source completely independent of 
the Co. that markets this product, within the context of being an immune 
booster possibly combating {my word] theirs "C".  But I hasten to add that the 
marketing Co does NOT promote Metatrol (an advanced form of fermented wheat 
germ) for the prevention or cure of cancer, for to do so would invite the 
Authorities to quickly crack down on them.
But this being a somewhat free country, I'll say that IF I had "C", I would

First few pages of "Supergenes" in the "Look Inside" section of Amazon.  Goes 
into memory, inflammation, the microbiome [gut bacteria], diet, stress, 
exercise, meditation, sleep, emotions, making evolution mindful, epigenetics, 
diseases, DNA, canceretc.
 The basic idea is that "we are learning how to make our genes help us"; and 
that there are not simply good and bad genes that determine our .:
 [my comments]  These ideas may be revolutionary for some readers, perhaps 
those following conventional medicine heavily influenced by Big Pharma, but 
nothing new here for TM practitioners who have been following the career of 
Chopra for many years and know where he's coming from.  The concept of 
"epigenetics" is bandied about on TV by cutting edge researchers, but they 
virtually have no advice on the "epi" part (the external influences on DNA that

Kurweil is a wacko.  Not just my opinion but the opinion of many 
scientists.  I think Google is betting that they will still get 
something money making out of him.  AI systems should be used as tools 
at our discretion and never allowed autonomous control.

 They've had that rule for a couple years.  If just the rule makes you mad 
you should hear the authoritarian woman who represents the tax board on this.  
Sounds like she would cut your head off if you don't pay.  
 
 However it really depends on where you shopped.  Amazon takes care of this for 
their orders.  Some other companies do too.  Downloadable software apps are 
still tax free in California.  And some of this doesn't make sense unless you 
buy a lot online.
 
 California tax laws are really stupid and shows how corrupt the state is.  One 
of the dumbest things I ever heard was that if you sell hard goods you have to 
pay the retail tax for the location you are shipping to rather than the rate 
where you are.  Like the difference is going to matter much.  This is exactly 
why Americans no longer trust government.

They've had that rule for a couple years.  If just the rule makes you 
mad you should hear the authoritarian woman who represents the tax board 
on this.  Sounds like she would cut your head off if you don't pay.


However it really depends on where you shopped.  Amazon takes care of 
this for their orders.  Some other companies do too. Downloadable 
software apps are still tax free in California.  And some of this 
doesn't make sense unless you buy a lot online.


California tax laws are really stupid and shows how corrupt the state 
is.  One of the dumbest things I ever heard was that if you sell hard 
goods you have to pay the retail tax for the location you are shipping 
to rather than the rate where you are.  Like the difference is going to 
matter much.  This is exactly why Americans no longer trust government.

I just had to take a break after trying to fill the state tax form which is 
very confusing and badly designed for taxpayers.   On top of that, the state 
wants us to pay for use tax applying to purchases made online or out of state.  
Common sense would beg the question:  how would the state know how much you 
bought out of state or online?  The bottom line is that they want you to pay 
use tax based on your adjusted gross income.  I just had to go to the coffee 
shop to cool off from this one.
