[FairfieldLife] Re: Praying football coach exhibitionist

2016-08-13 Thread olliesed...@yahoo.com [FairfieldLife]
Very misleading article. The dopey coach was asked repeatedly to not put the
school district at risk for violation of state and federal law. "Kennedy's
conduct poses a genuine risk that the district will be liable for violating the
federal and state constitutional rights of students or others".

He was first placed on PAID ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE, and told he could have his
job back at any time, as long as he complied with the district laws (like every
other teacher in the district). He refused, and so lost his job. At first he
complied, but a "religious rights organization" convinced him to go against
state and federal law and pray anyway. The school had already offered this
nobody a private place in which to pray, but again he had refused.

What an antisocial jerk and ego maniac. No one and I mean NO ONE would be on
this twerps side if he was bowing to Mecca. He hides behind his bible and
proclaims, "I am more special than the rest of you! I can do anything I want
because I am a religious zealot". What a loser. They did the right thing by
kicking his ass to the curb.

You are appearing to be the standardbearers of the Antiquarian Party on
this.
Even the AMA recommends in their best practices now that people meditate.  If
any of the candidates had once learned to meditate, now in the last 10 years
have any of the four major party candidates had their meditation practice
checked for effortlessness?  Sort of like candidates coming forward to show tax
returns, they should not hold out on these questions. The science quite clearly
indicates that this is all quite relevant to all our well-being.

Doug , Maharishi always used to say that meditation was a preparation for
activity. Commuting to work, whether driving, taking a bus, biking, walking or
taking  a train is activity used to stabilize pure awareness . The established
routine was wake up, tend to bathroom needs, meditate, get dressed, have
breakfast, go to work. Evening, go home, have a cocktail, then meditate and
then dinner, (just threw the cocktail in for fun) chill the evening.
No one has a *right* to be paid to meditate on company time and companies don't
have an obligation to provide the time or space to tend to you personal
spiritual growth, even if they may benefit from it. If a company offers these
things as a perk, kudos to them. When companies start getting involved with
these personal matters then the next thing you know, they'll be telling you
which *denomination* of meditation you must practice, TM, Mindfulness, Kriya
etc etc. Next thing you know every work place becomes a dome complete with
badges to be handed out and taken away and we don't need no stinkin' badges!

Guaranteeing (facilitating) quiet time meditation in the workplace or within
public education is a valid science question and US Presidential candidates in
this postmodern age should have well prepared science-based public policy on
this. This be Constitutional Bill of Rights and inalienable right endowed by

You are a meditator, and have seen or kept up on the modern science around
meditation? Had your meditation checked for effortlessness in recent memory?

Are either of them meditators?
Would either of them support public school silence-based meditating/ quiet

Actually, it would be like candidates coming forward to show their tax returns,
each one filled out according to a different set of rules. (Just for instance,
not all meditation techniques by any means are "checked for effortlessness.")

In any case, it isn't what the vast majority of voters are interested in, so
there's no "holding out" involved. There are much, much more important
questions candidates need to be asked.

No one has a *right* to be paid to meditate on company time and companies
don't have an obligation to provide the time or space to tend to you personal

 2. Cuts down on migraines
 3. Embrace current health status (this - they say, follows from acting more in

Title of the article is "Meditate on this: A mindfulness practice promotes

My comments (first, on the 1-4)): Maybe, maybe not, but don't count on it.
Meditation is simply not for everyone.
Next, one might ask, why not "UCLA Transcendental Meditation Awareness

with the agendas of modern scientists, and particularly psychiatry, which I
won't go into in detail but I'll mention one item. Take "popularizers" such as
Michio Kaku. Scientists like him pride themselves on a. making new

them interesting topics for popular consumption. c. publishingWhat is

One could certainly conceive public policy on sound scientific grounds that
would entail some categories of jobs be covered and even mandated for paid
quiet time meditation in the workplace. Like for some equipment operators,
healthcare workers such as surgical and ICU teams, airline pilots, bus drivers,
law enforcement, active duty military be protected by guaranteed paid quiet
time meditation in the workplace. Science based public policy.

Are either of them meditators?
Would either of them support public school silence-based meditating/ quiet

Not prayer, but quiet time for meditating? National education policy.

Along with their answering directly some science policy questions otherwise,
the science would seem to indicate a great public health benefit to children

Sheets? Cross burning? You aren't much of a modern racist with that language.
No, you want to instead call into question Obama's birth certificate, or
suggest he is really a Muslim, who founded ISIS. As for Hillary, call her crazy
and to be locked up. Make it personal. The type of racism and sexism you are
alluding to is old hat, and nothing subtle about it. Get with the 21st century

on *bitching* and whining, but continue to be PC about it. Unlike your absurd

It seems the Trumpsters are all about having a temper tantrum, much as their
candidate does. The Terrible Twos are going to yell and scream until November
8th, then go back to their failed and impotent lives, ever blaming their fate
on "those damned liberals...".

It must be a horrible position to be in, almost matyrdom for those who feel
that their special interests are being ignored by a bunch of corrupt fill in
the blanks. To always feel that your religious and social liberties are being
trampled, ISIS at the gates, etc. It is all so much excuse making for those who
cannot grow and prosper in one of the few places on earth where it is possible
to do so, regardless of sex or race, the USA. "Love it, or leave it" - Remember
that slogan? It applies very well to the perpetual malcontents here.

I think if you had been more successful in life, you wouldn't be so quick to
tear down the one viable candidate for President. How have you personally
suffered under Obama, and looking forward, same question for Clinton? This
constant barrage of negative assessments possibly has a lot more to do with
your failures in life than anyone up for election. What do you do after Hillary
wins, and your life remains the same?

Hillary myself.

However, as both of you also know, the crap Mike listed as being "all people

I do sympathize with them in one regard. They have been told all their lives
about how white men are better than women, and certainly more evolved than
those with more melanin in their skin. I get it. Except that it doesn't conform
to the real world. I can imagine detoxing from such a hallucinogen is both
difficult and painful. I think Hillary Clinton will make a great President.

The next reality show could be called, "Republican Intervention" - for those
addicted to social, economic and political fantasies.

I don't do "strategic voting", I vote my conscience. I didn't trust the
Clintons in 1992. They say one thing and do another. They are status seekers
and will burn down the world if it seeks their agenda.

Right now I will be voting for "none of the above." ;-)

Compared to Clinton, Trump is very small potatoes. Basically one of thousands

Again, compared to what? Trump has refused to release any tax info at all.
Republicans keep tearing at Hillary, but are comparing her to absolutely
nothing. It is demented behavior - something expected from a two year old, who
doesn't have any alternative but yelling, "No!" - the party of the "Terrible
Twos". Thank God they can all take their soiled diapers elsewhere after the
election.

I guess they are their favorite charity.

Q Number One: What would be your administration’s public health policy
towards worker paid quiet time meditation in the workplace?

Are either of them meditators?
Would either of them support public school silence-based meditating/ quiet
time?
Not prayer, but quiet time for meditating? National education policy.

Along with their answering directly some science policy questions otherwise,
the science would seem to indicate a great public health benefit to children
learning to meditate and meditating regularly as part of the school day.
Meditating, as modern public health policy. What is their policy on this
pressing issue?

Are either of them opposed to meditating?
