According to Maharishi, "Soma is produced in the human body when Cosmic 
Consciousness is attained." The purpose of Soma thus engendered is to enable 
the individual to see everything as one's infinite self. Maharishi says that 
the Gods are not enlightened, so they need to get Soma by means of certain 
rituals performed by humans. In Deepak Chopra's book, "The return of the 
Rishi", Soma is described as "...a very rare plant that grows in the 
Himalayas." (unfortunately for the Rishis, the Amanita plant doesn't grow in 
the Himalayas).

Thx, the key ingredient in your (and mine, and Cahn's, and anybody elses.is 
"IMO". ).  You may change your opinion after reading Cahn's "Book of 
Mysteries".  No mention of the Unified Field there.  It's all dualistic, not 
Advaitic.
   The early Apologists for what ultimately became the current "mainstream" 
Christian positions where hashed out in the early centuries prior to the major 
Councils of Bishops which game us the Athanasian and Nicene Creeds.Nothing 
about the Unified Field in those dogmatic pronouncements.  Obviously, the 
Gnostics and Neo-Platonists lost out in the battle for Biblical interpretations 
and which Books were to be included in the Bible.  There are 3 major questions 
in Biblical exegesis: a. What does the Bible say is the truth? b. What do you 
believe is "the truth" and c. What do we "want" to believe is the Truth. It's 
obvious that your emphasis is on the third approach - some bizarre and quite 
unsuccessful to fuse and render compatible Biblical teachings as they are (and 
not twisted into what we "want" is the truth), with MMY's version of what he 
calls Advaita Vedanta.  It will be left to Empty Bill for discernment on the 
question of whether MMY's teachings are in accord with Shankara, or not
 .  My conclusion is that as a whole, Biblical Judaeo-Christianity is dualistic 
with a big emphasis on Christian Love.but not the Transcendent.  If can 
find few passages in the Bible that are remotely connected or point to the 
Transcendental Absolute (purusha).  Statements like "The Kingdom of Heaven is 
within you" are too vague to be useful, and can't by any stretch of the 
imagination be supportive of the notion that the Bible is about Gnosis (Self or 
Transcendental knowledge).  Any important battle between the "Early Church 
Fathers" and the Gnostics such as Marcion, Valentinus, etc; ensued before the 
mainstream concepts were codified, and the Gnostics lost and were forced 
underground.   There were valid reasons for why they lost the battle and books 
like the "Gospel of Thomas" were not in accepted list of Biblical Books.
 However, I do commend you for a worthy stance on stating: what might have 
been, or perhaps what the early Church Father should have taught.; but 
unfortunately they didn't.  They taught dualistic themes for the most part 
incompatible with non-dualism.
 In addition, regardliess of one's belief, (and in spite of it), one can be 
devoted to Jesus in any manner of loving devotion on the basis of heart-chakra 
experience, with no particular adherence to a set of beliefs.  But this would 
be anathema to Protestantism since salvation by faith requires belief.  Beliefs 
are a big part of the Bible.

hasn't detected it yet.
In any event, the OT is all about Atonement and morals.  The NT is all 
about Substitutionary Atonement and morals. More specifically, in the First 
Temple lambs were offered up as sacrifices every day of the year..
 Christians then merge Isaiah chapter 53 with their notion of "Messiah, the 
Lamb  of God, the "Taleh Elohim"
 and claim that Jesus as the Lamb of God is thus the Messiah (along with other 
lines of evidence).
   Rabbi Cahn quotes his "teacher" (a fictitious literary device conjured up 
for instructional  purposes): as saying "It was all about the Lamb from the 
beginning, the answer was always linked to the Lamb".
 Then Cahn goes on to explain the symbolism of lambs:
 He says "There will be One who is entirely pure, innocent, without blemish, 
without evil...and this One will give His life to save those who are not 
innocent. [in other words, the OT sacrificial lambs had to be pure and without 
blemish, likewise the NT Lamb (Jesus) is likewise pure and without blemish.  
Then Cahn makes a leap to further conclusions: "The mystery of the lamb is God. 
 The mystery is that God will give His life to save us. For God is love.  And 
the nature of love is to give of itself. The Taleh, the Lambis God".   
(entry #16 in Cahn's "The Book of Mysteries".
 Cahn then concludes each entry with a lesson with suitable accompanying 
Scriptural Quotes.  He says "Today, live in the spirit of the Lamb.  Let 
everything you do be done in love.  And live to make your life a blessing to 
others".
 My conclusion: Again, the OT Hebrew Scriptures are mostly about Atonement and 
morals.  The Greek NT is about Substitutionary Atonement (Jesus as the 
Sacrificial Lamb of God) and morals; and I can find little evidence of a 
message oriented toward Purusha (the Self - considered as import by the 
Gnostics.)
 Obviously, the Unified Field is about (as MMY points out in SBAL): a. Absolute 
existence, and b. relative existencethen MMY goes on to present another 
important concept c. that the relative and Absolute are inseparable.
 In contrast, the Bible (imo) appeals to be distinctly dualistic: Heaven vs 
earth and Hell, good vs evil, moral behavior, etc; and (my conclusion) Teilhard 
de Chardin's notion of the Omega man
 

 2. The Omega Man can refer to human beings who attain Unity Consciousness.  
The evolution that Teilhard de Chardin wrote about is not necessarily a 
physical evolution.  But it can be an evolution of consciousness.
 

 At Unity Consciousness, human beings can experience the Rapture when Jesus 
appears in their consciousness, or when Unity Consciousness is attained by 
anyone who is not affiliated with any church denomination.  So, Jesus does not 
have to appear in the clouds with angels blowing their trumpets when he returns 
to earth.
 

 The new sons and daughters of God will be those who have attained Unity 
Consciousness and they will inherit the coming of heaven on earth and the new 
Jerusalem, material prosperity here on earth, as prophesied in the Book of 
Revelation.
 

 

 

 is something he probably borrowed from Hindu and Buddhist ideas coupled with 
his own interior Gnosis of the Omega (the Absolute Self).  The notion that the 
Bible is chiefly about de Charcin's "Omega" is a big stretch.  Besides, de 
Chardin's definition of Omega is not at all related to the Biblical statement.

I feel a bit sorry for Alex Jones and his chums. Their hatred of the Clintons, 
especially Hillary, is irrational. Meanwhile, Hillary is almost home and dry. 
She has excellent jyotish for the time of the second debate, and Trump does 
not, so I am expecting her to excel again. After that, only a few weeks left, 
and since Wikileaks, as you say, appears to have nothing, surely it's over for 
Trump now.

 It cracks me up that the Hillary-haters stayed up all night to watch Assange's 
press conference, which was at 3 am London time, breathing heavily and 
salivating as they waited for him to release his promised bombshell and wipe 
Hillary out.

 Some of what we can see in these lists is a natural aging-out of the Post-War 
Cohort, of the people who were early with Maharishi in the very early SRM

II are increasingly ‘in diminish’.  Time is short regardless.

 Current Population: 41 million (declining)

 Boomers II or Generation Jones
 Born: 1955-1965
 Coming of Age: 1973-1983
 Age in 2004: 39 to 49
 Current Population: 49 million
 

 

 

 For a long time the Baby Boomers were defined as those born between 1945 and 
1964. That would make the generation huge (71 million) and encompass people who 
were 20 years apart in age. It didn't compute to have those born in 1964 
compared with those born in 1946.

 The Book of Revelation may be saying that Christians and human beings, no 
matter what their beliefs are, may discover and find Jesus Christ within their 
consciousness, upon reaching Unity Consciousness, thus bringing about the new 
heaven and new Jerusalem  here on earth, or the experience of the Rapture.  
IOW, the second coming of Jesus will be  experienced by human beings within 
themselves during Unity Consciousness.  Thus, the prophecy in the Book of 
Revelation will be fulfilled.

That's been part of the problem. Some have tried, and being human, made a mess 
of everything in their attempts. Messiah is supposed to do that, not man. 
Christianity teaches that Messiah comes twice. Once as the suffering servant, 
the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world and  next, as the Lion of 
Judah who rules with an Iron Rod. Some of the ancient Rabbis taught Messiah 
would come like this but eventually the understanding evolved to the current 
Jewish interpretation, that Messiah comes once
