 Carde,

Remote viewing is probably some kind of a siddhi, such as visualization, but I
don't know the sanskrit term for it. It seems like this ability is tied in
with some kind of new theory in cosmology. Or it could be a form of of an
advanced technique in MMY's age of enlightenment meditation.

It seems to be one of the results of pravRtty-aaloka-nyaasa (saMyama on the
inner light),
 namely viprakRSTa-jñaanam (~viprakrishta-gyaanam):

 Sutra III.25
 प्रवृत्त्यालोकन्यासात् सूक्ष्मव्यवहितविप्रकृष्टज्ञानम्॥२५॥

  pravr̥tty-āloka-nyāsāt sūkṣmā-vyāvahita-viprakr̥ṣṭa-jñānam ॥25॥

[HA]: By Applying The Effulgeant Light Of Higher Sense-Perception (Jyotismati)
Knowledge Of Subtle Objects, Or Things Obstructed From View, Or Placed At A
Great Distance, Can Be Acquired.
 [IT]: (26):
Knowledge of the small, the hidden or the distant by directing the light of
superphysical faculty.
[VH]: By projecting the brilliance of the pravrtti-finer activity (of citta),
knowledge of the subtle, concealed, and distant.
[BM]: From placing light on the minds activity, one has knowledge of that
which is subtle, hidden, and distant.
 [SS]: (26):
By samyama on the Light within, the knowledge of the subtle, hidden and
remotes is obtained. [Note: subtle as atoms, hidden as treasure, remote as far
distanct lands]
[SP]: (26) By making samyama on the Inner Light one obtains knowledge of what
is subtle, hidden, or far distant.
 [SV]: (26):
By making Samyama on that effulgent light comes the knowledge of the fine, the
obstructed, and the remote.

[FairfieldLife] Re: Ideal Life Assembly/Campus

2018-01-15 Thread dhamiltony...@yahoo.com [FairfieldLife]
A ‘boots on the ground visit’ to Fairfield is a good way to tap in.
Those of us who make lives here use The Fairfield Weekly Reader which is
distributed to points around town every Thursday to tap in. It advertises all
the many arts, presentations, movies, lectures, and various spiritual satsang
events happening in the area every week. Also some ads for rentals.
Folks who make lives here go through the FF Weekly Reader and add to their own
calendars accordingly. If you have initiative to show up at things there is a
tremendous amount of higher talented culture to attend to in Fairfield.
There are a few poster bulletin boards in town that are important to the flow
of things here too, like in the entryway to Everybody’s Whole Foods (grocery)
there is a feature of a big bulletin board that is actively used.

Thinking of you I noticed on the Everybody's bulletin board quite a number of
different rentals posted there. It seems the rental market here is competitive
with choice.
There are a number of folks here in the meditating community who took the
seminars years ago about building wealth through real estate and pursued that.
Their grown offspring are also here now doing this kind of development. Also
the surrounding Farmer community was making so much money a few years ago that
they started plowing in to rental real estate in Fairfield too. So yes there
are a lot of landlords and options for rental.
I have meditator friends who are long time renters up in Utopia Park, the
trailers by the campus who really like living there. Again, you have to have a
valid Dome badge to live there. I have other long time meditator TM movement
friends who do not hold valid Dome badges who live in a different trailer area.
There is quite a group of older TM movement folks in some subsidized elder
housing in the middle of town too.
Come visit as a type of pilgrimage and see what can work for you.

Thanks. This and prior post on ILC are helpful. They confirm my sense of ILC.
It may be good for at some later point for a retreat period. However, for now,
I want to get to know the community and explore FF. Living in town works better
for me for that.

For housing rentals, I have been looking at Craigslist/SE Iowa and
HomeShareFairfield, the Facebook group. Does anyone have other good sources of
rental listing?

Anyone know of good sites or blogs for information pertinent to relocating to
FF. Sites like
https://www.fairfieldinfocenter.org/fairfield-tm-information-center/
https://www.fairfieldinfocenter.org/fairfield-tm-information-center/transportation-ground/
 are useful but general.

I have looked for, but not found, any feet-on-the-ground type of guide, with
the knowledge locals all know and very relevant to newcomers -- the nitty
gritty of functioning in a new location. I have been plugging away, finding
bits and pieces here and there. I may compile such on a blog or site for other
potential newcomers. It could speed up the process of figuring out if FF is a
viable option for them -- and ease their transition if they decide to take the
plunge.
