[FairfieldLife] Bouncing
I just noticed that 219 of FFL's 963 members are bouncing. I don't think that refers to the dome numbers. Thats over 20%. And only is applicable to those who receive emails. Which is a minority, maybe 20-30%. So 65-99% of email opters are air -- no longer existing accounts. I wonder if the same % is extrapable to archive readers. It would imply that only a very small % of the 963 members actually read any posts. Yahoo! 20 percent is an improvement. The first time I took a look at those statistics, more than a third of the members were bouncing. It's probably less now because yahoo gives free email accounts 1 GB of storage. There could be people who signed up to receive email, but who don't check it, so it bounces, yet they read FFL in their browser. Also, I often hear from lurkers who haven't signed up at all. Yahoo!
