Researchers randomly selected 40 episodes of The Dr. Oz Show and evaluated the recommendations that its star, Mehmet Oz, gives in each one. The majority of his suggestions involve dietary advice, but he also promotes alternative therapies and other things of questionable veracity. They found that only 46% of his claims were corroborated by science, while 36% were found to have no supporting evidence—and 15% were directly contradicted by scientific evidence. In other words, more than half of what Oz propagates is drivel. Looks like our fascist medical establishment is terrified that Dr. Oz will show folks how to cure themselves with inexpensive things they can find in their kitchen cabinet rather than buy the million dollar cures they sell. OMG, alternative therapies, we can't have that can we? This is the same fascist medical establishment that won't tell how much a procedure will cost in advance. Would you buy a car that way? There's a case of a person who needed a surgical procedure and a doctor not their usual one came in to perform it and billed $117,000. The patient complained to the insurance company that the amount was excessive and the insurance company agreed but then turned around and paid the surgeon that amount. Unbelievable! If Dr. Oz is a crook, he pales by comparison to the crooks in the US medical establishment.
